
Individual Therapy
Individual therapy is a collaborative process where we work one-on-one together in a confidential and supportive environment. The goal is to be able to explore your thoughts, feelings and behaviors and develop strategies to help cope with and better understand the challenges we face in life. My goal is to co-create a non-judgmental, warm and open space to walk alongside you as we explore the parts of you that may feel tender, misunderstood or to difficult to hold on your own.

Emotional Support and Understanding
I aim to provide a safe and non-judgmental space for you to express your thoughts and feelings openly. When you can show up as yourself during our sessions, you are able to show up more authentically in your life as well.
Personalized Approach
Each session is tailored to your specific needs. I pull my therapeutic techniques from a variety of modalities, and my hope is to provide you with what you need in that moment. Whether it’s a listening ear, helping you discern what is occurring in your web of worries or providing compassionate feedback.
Skill Building and Coping Strategies
Stress Management: I hope to help you learn some effective techniques in managing your stress and reducing your anxiety. This could be the act of having our therapy sessions together or concrete tools.
Emotion Regulation: Therapy can be beneficial in developing tools to identify emotions, help manage intense emotions, and help to improve your overall emotional well being.
Overcoming Challenges
Trauma Processing: Our work together can include processing the things that have happened in your life - whether they feel like “not a big deal” or if it’s something too difficult to talk about when we first meet.
Grief Counseling: I integrate support around grief and loss into my therapeutic approach, as grief shows up differently for each person. I provide support with the complicated emotions that grief elicits.
Personal Growth and Development
Self-Discovery: I can help you gain insight to patterns of thought and behavior, which can lead to your own personal growth. As human beings, we are ever changing and evolving and we continue to learn about ourselves throughout our lives.
Goal Setting: We can discuss goals that you want to set for yourself to enhance the quality of your life.
What to Expect in Individual Therapy Sessions
15 Minute Consultation
During our 15 minute consultation, we can discuss what you are looking for in a therapist, what questions/concerns you may have, and the logistics.
Initial Sessions
Our first few sessions will be focused on us getting to know each other and starting to build our relationship. This may look like me asking questions to get a better understanding of you, your community, your values and your hopes for therapy. My hope is to collaboratively come up with goals that help you to create meaningful change in your life.
Regular Sessions
Sessions typically occur weekly or biweekly, depending on your needs. Consistency is helpful in building the therapeutic relationship, and can be helpful when starting to get support and make change in your life.
